Being back in LA means being back to a lot of great things I missed when I was in Europe: coconut smoothies, yoga classes at 7:30 AM, breathtaking sunsets, being stuck in traffic and it’s ok (?), having drinks – and Sunday brunch! – at Soho House, and obviously seeing my ‘LA fam’ which is getting bigger and bigger every year. It’s amazing how this city can really capture your heart with its charm and energy, just like a good boyfriend would! No quite exactly but you get what I’m saying. While I was in Europe for fashion week they finished building The Broad, LA’s most acclaimed new contemporary museum, located just across the street from the Walt Disney Center Hall. The museum, designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with Gensler will be home to the nearly 2,000 works of art in the Broad collection, which is among the most prominent holdings of postwar and contemporary art worldwide. Its innovative “veil-and-vault” concept inspired my all-white-everything outfit: dress by Rebecca Minkoff, sweater by Marciano and boots at Elyse Walker. Good to be back LA! Pictures by Ryan Chua.
